19/06/1469 Part 2 - Justice or Vengeance in Novgorod?

Previously, we were told by the English citizens in Novgorod their side of the story. I spoke with Lady Katarina Sofia, and she agreed to give us her side of the story.

Before we listen to Lady Katarina's side of the story, I will note she gave me some notes to the many ships and captains that were spotted during this attack. But because it is not all public knowledge as of this writing I am not privy to publishing that information. Part of this information has already been spoken in Highlands Hall, Scotland.
.

Lady Katarina, can you tell us what went on the day Novgorod was attacked?

You know, I tell the same story 100 times. But I'll tell you one more time, 101st.

I believe that Finland was dragged into hostilities against us and Her Majesty the Queen of England with a lie, not the truth.

Yes, we always maintain good relations with everyone, probably because we are few and the location is too far away. But we have never fought with anyone, we have always agreed, even with pirates, since they will not leave a stone unturned from us, but not everyone understands this and some Scots tried to do just that. And since they understood that they themselves were weak, they took with them, the Finns.

Recently, Tess was at our port and sailed away, we have known her for a long time and she often filled our orders - to deliver a stone, iron or whatever else we ordered. She owed us 29,000 gold for our next order ( stone and iron) , we trust those who have already proven their loyalty to us and diligence.

But since the pursuit began for her, she had nowhere to go (although I hoped that she would go far away from our waters) and she came to us. We did not give a mooring line, but then we agreed, she sells us her 2 ships for 29,000 (the third ship was bought by a resident of our city for personal use. I hope you know the advantage of Genoa ships?

So, there were more people on the ship than we expected and with our active endowment and when someone was cornered, we got scared for us (I think this is understandable, although the Scots think otherwise, they do not understand a lot of people, England is close by, but who should we expect help from?)

And so, we gathered a second army and knocked out all the "guests" from our territory, this is very good from our side.

And then the Scots and your compatriots accused us of bribery and aiding pirates. Sorry, but Kat. wants everything to be the way she wants, and the whole game was played according to her conditions, she does not understand others and does not want, yes, she is a good strategist, but in politics, she is an absolute mediocrity. The Finns followed her and committed a great sin. They have destroyed 3 ships, one new from our guests.

And yet - the Finnish King is the White Knight, he is a good man, and not because he decided to help me, he does not know me at all, he just understood the mistake before anyone else.

Do we really need this wild, abnormal woman in a skirt in the Baltic , with a huge mouth, from which only curses burst? She, even with the title, cannot win like a real lady. Disgusting.

And also I would like to inform you that a reward has been assigned for 2 Scottish ships and Vasa and sooner or later they will be scuttled. Reward 10,000 for each ship.

The ships Lady Katarina is speaking about for a bounty are Vasa, Sloth's Haste, GNS The Other. While a bounty is put on them for the attack, it appears a bounty hunter has already been in touch with Lady Katarina on the matter.

I would like to thank Lady Katarina Sofia for her side of the story. Next time, we will have Scotlands view on this.
