I sat down with a colleague who told me about an event that sounded rather interesting. The event is as he described it to me.

The twenty-first Geneva tournament will begin on March 21, 1471, a spring day in Murten (558) two knots north of Fribourg, Switzerland. The registrations are in progress until March 21, 1471. The annual meeting of the cream of the bold, princesses scoundrels, mixed capitans and the dregs of the underworld is announced!

Geneva is the place to be! Coming from all over the Aristotelian world, the participants traditionally meet there since 1456 to beat each other up in front of the Eternal, according to the ancestral rules of gymnopedic wrestling: without a weapon, without a horse and without shoes. We come here to measure ourselves against the biggest names of the kingdoms!


The rules are very simple.

• The participants form a team that cannot exceed ten load points, with the municipal scale as proof.



• A stage is set up and permission is given to all vendors of doughnuts, rolls, turned meats, flowers, salted seeds and wines, fortune tellers and sellers of trinkets to hold stalls and campfires.



• The registration fee is fixed at 50 ecus.



• The wrestler wears his registration on him.



• The winner will take his prize.



• The fights will take place in two rounds, after which the participants will return to Geneva for the festivities and the proclamation of the winners.

We counted more than a hundred visitors during the last event, 7800 ecus at stake, pages of stories and a Geneva-Comtois victory in the end!

Muscade and Lothilde are to be dethroned.

All entries should be sent directly to the Avoyer of Geneva by carrier pigeon.
